Game Description

God of War Ragnarök, originally a PlayStation exclusive now coming to PC through collaboration with Jetpack Interactive, continues the epic Norse mythology-inspired journey of Kratos and his son Atreus. This sequel to 2018’s God of War takes place during Fimbulwinter, as father and son traverse the Nine Realms seeking answers while Odin’s forces prepare for the prophesied end of the world.

The story centers on crucial choices: Atreus exploring his prophesied role as Loki in the coming Ragnarök, while Kratos wrestles with breaking free from his troubled past to become a better father. The gameplay features refined combat mechanics with the returning Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Guardian Shield, plus new abilities for both characters as they battle through mythological landscapes filled with Norse gods and monsters.

A major addition is the free Valhalla DLC, available at launch. This roguelite-inspired epilogue follows Kratos, accompanied by Mimir, through personal trials within Valhalla itself. Each run resets Kratos’s stats and abilities while allowing players to build toward permanent upgrades, creating a fresh take on the core combat system.
