Game Description

A Mysterious Book: Uncovering Dark Secrets

Encourage the Cowardly Dog Dexter’s Laboratory Ed and Eddie Cow and Chicken. Anybody what are these all have in common their ’90s Cartoon Network series that were highly entertaining well not all of them were winners but there is a Nostalgia for all gamer. I first saw Blud-Skidrow. I was so excited because I love the artistic direction that it takes but will #Blud be trending on X or does it have less game than Johnny Bravo. #Blud is a top- down Dungeon Crawler and obviously the big takeaway when anyone looks at this game is that amazing art style. You’ll be controlling Becky Brewster a young girl who is kind of new to town.

She’s getting used to things going to school being a student when all of a sudden. She discovers a book, she thinks it’s a cookbook of sorts but actually it turns out to have demonic writing in it that eludes to vampires and other weird stuff. In-fact the teacher doesn’t even want to decipher it. It’s supposed to be in French but only parts of it are in French without giving away too much of the plot Becky. Here gets wisped into a bigger story that involves her slaying vampires kind of sounds like Buffy right.

The writing in this game is quite Charming. It will tickle your funny bone and it will definitely call back to the 9s. It doesn’t do anything remarkable in the gameplay Department. It’s a pretty safe little top own Adventure. The first thing you should know about this game is that it has a ton of dialogue whether you’re just searching items in rooms or you’re talking to villagers.

Will #Blud Trend on X?

You’re going to have a lot of text to read Most of It is Well written as I said earlier. But there is a lot in a lot and a lot of reading here a surprising amount. This can slow the pace of the game a little bit. So, be aware of that going into it, It’s not all about non-stop action. The game features various quests some of them are optional and of course there is a Mainline quest to follow you. Do have a map that will generally keep you on the right track and point you in the right direction. Along with a social media app that’s built into the game where you keep up with people’s conversations and they kind of point you in a direction.

The next destination or complete a quest of course throughout your exploration. You’re going to encounter vampires bugs and all sorts of gross nasty monsters that you can either punch with your fist eventually.  You get your hockey stick and you can whack them with that. You’ll also get bombs and a bunch of other gadgets too. Eventually get an umbrella as well which adds a little bit of Defense to the game that’s missing in the first few hours.

The combat is never going to evolve into anything special but it’s always going to feel adequate. There’s a Dodge roll to get out of the way. You strike your enemies at the right time. It does evolve a little bit with different combinations and the different weapons like I touched on there but for the most part it’s a pretty basic engine that has its quirks too. So, when you take damage, for example that can lead to a lot of cheap hits.

Progress Tracking and Collectibles

Have you don’t really get a chance to recover and that can definitely be a little bit irritating at times? Some enemies also need to be defeated a certain way. So, an example of that at one point you had to roll and do this uppercut attack that’s performed by hitting x button. if you’re using an Xbox controller anyways while you’re rolling, this doesn’t really always line up well and it leaves you wide open. So the combat does have its quirks but at the end of the day this is a really forgiving game. If you die you’re not really losing a lot of progress.

There are plenty of healing items as well though they weren’t as accessible. As I would like but either way the combat is serviceable.  #Blud is also a surprisingly large game it’s a big world to explore and that’s helped a little bit with a sewer system, where you unlock somewhat of a fast travel. There’s a lot to collect in the game. There’s all these hidden tokens and the game does a good job of keeping track of pretty much all of your progress too. Whether you’ve encountered a new enemy. They’ll give you some information on things like that new spells it does a good job of tracking information.

This entertainment is really at its best. In my opinion in terms of gameplay when it leans into the dungeon crawling. There are some good designs in this game. Some cool classic tropes here like bombing walls that are cracked to advance forward. There’s some cool enemy loops where you have to take down a group of enemies to advance forward.
